Truck drivers have been advised to adhere strictly to COVID-19 protocol as directed by Federal Government in order to prevent the spread of second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.
The South West Chairman of Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners, NARTO, Alhaji Bola Ogunyele gave the advice while speaking with newsmen in his office at Ikeja area of Lagos state.
Mr Ogunyele said that it is imperative for truck drivers to maintain social distance, use facemask and engage in regular hand washing with water and soap as well as use of acholic hand sanitizer to flat the curve of COVID-19.
While expressing displeasure over some people who doubt the existence of Covid-19 saying Covid-19 is real.
He urged the Federal Government to intensify efforts towards getting the Covid-19 vaccine and make it available to masses so that the pandemic can be a thing of the past in the country.
Mr Ogunyele appreciated Federal Government for the distribution of prepaid meter to distribution companies for on on installation in people houses to put an end to estimated billing and crazy bill.
