Governors all over the Federation have been called upon to be proactive in dealing with security issues in their domain.
The Chief Imam of Lagos Secretariat Mosque Alausa Ikeja Lagos, Imam Abdul-Hakim Alugo made the call in his Jumaat Sermon this afternoon in Lagos during today’s Jumaat Service.
He observed that in some parts of Yorubaland some individuals were giving quit order to some Nigerians of a particular ethnic group warning that if such orders are not curbed it could lead to civil disorder leading to serious crisis.
He therefore enjoined Security Agencies to be at alert to arrest those behind such illegal order adding that they are trouble-makers who would precipitate crises and run-away.
He also appeal to Federal Government to overhaul security machinery of the Country to arrest crime refrain from dabbling into security issues as it is defending a particular; rather it should stand to protect all Nigerians.
He appealed to Nigerians regardless of their ethnic and religious differences to continue to live together in peace warning that those behind trouble-shooting are ethnic and political characters wanting to set Nigeria ablaze for their selfish interests, warning that civil unrest in some African Countries like Rwanda and Libya have left people worst than they were before.
