We all want to keep fit, we all want that gorgeous summer body. We want heads to turn when we walk past but we don’t always get what we want, and that is not what this write up is about.
Hey! Don’t act like this doesn’t concern you. You might have six packs and have the perfect model body but you still need to keep fit. Being fit goes beyond physical appearance, it’s beyond being and not being fat.
Being fit is the complete state of physical wellbeing. It’s not getting easily fatigued at the slightest hurdle, is being able to go beyond your limits without adverse effects.
Therefore, if you want to have a healthier life, there are certain things you must be and certain things you will have to cut off.
Eating healthy is the first way to achieve this. You can’t constantly fill up on kicks and expect to run in a marathon. Get yourself healthy foods. Fresh vegetables and fruits would go a long way in boosting your immune system and also aid digestion. Less I forget, Amaka! once it is 10pm please I’m begging, drop that bowl of rice.
You might want to exercise more. LOL! You thought you won’t need to exercise to stay fit? Sorry to disappoint you but your body needs a bit of exercise to achieve your goals. 30 to 60 minutes exercise daily won’t be a bad start. Don’t over push yourself, when you are overly sore, do rest. Remember pain is the weakness leaving your body.
Try to get adequate sleep, yes sleep is good for staying fit. Before you start celebrating and going to buy new mattress, remember over sleeping is not encouraged. Eight hours of sleep is recommended. Go to bed early, like they saying goes, early to bed is early to rise.
Lastly, remember to stay focused and motivated. Times would come when you will want to give in to over eating or you will just want to rest from all the exercises, at times like these always remember why you started and keep pushing.
