Maryam Charles, a Nollywood actress, has taken to social media to criticize Nigerians who tattoo the faces and names of their favorite celebrities on their bodies.
According to the actor, the majority of Nigerians are bad, and they seek out the names of celebrities in order to be paid.
Her remarks come amid a growing number of Nigerian youths who are getting tattoos in order to obtain financial assistance from their role models.
Maryam Charles has expressed her displeasure with the trend on social media.
Here is what the Nollywood actress wrote;
“Too many things are wrong with Nigeria, we all know this.
But the rate at which suffering and hunger has increased is shocking.
Everywhere you turn, you can see the hunger and desperation in the eyes of people.
Coming online to beg for ₦2k has become a full time job for some.
It’s sad to be honest.”
