Nigerians have blasted Nollywood Actress, Lilian Afegbai and her mother, Carol Afegbai for an alleged crime of murder committed 7-years-ago.
Nigerians took to social media to call for the arrest of CSP Carol Afegbai for the allegedly murder of Momodu Ibrahim, a student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) in May 2013.
They asked the actress to produce her mother, CSP Afegbai, who shot Ibrahim three times in the chest and buried him.
Reports gathered state that in June 2013, the Edo Political Forum (EPF) had urged the then Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, to investigate the death of Ibrahim who was allegedly murdered by CSP Carol Onyekachi Afegbai, the Divisional Police officer (DPO) of Ogida Police Station in Edo.
However, a petition signed by the then Commissioner of Police (CP), Emmy Uwangue stated that Ibrahim was an armed robber.
The petitioners quoted the CP as saying that the student was a bus driver and that a cut-to-size gun was found on him after he was shot.
EPF criticized the quick burial of Momodu Ibrahim on May 28, 2013, without the consent of the family or close relatives, demanding Afegbai be investigated and “tried for murder for an innocent persons but the Police did not provide any update.
Nothing has been heard or said about the case until yesterday when Nigerians opened a remembrance book, recalling how Lilian’s mother, Carol allegedly executed a citizen seven years ago, Kanyidaily reports.
