The United Kingdom Medical Council has stated that Nigerian Doctors Migrated To United Kingdom Increased By 100.
The health system of Nigeria is about to suffer lack of manpower as many Nigerian doctors leave the country for the United Kingdom.
Confirming this, the UK Medical Council via its release data revealed that almost 100 doctors migrated to the UK already between July and August nevertheless the lockdown on international flights.
This massive doctors migration is following the reports from the Nigeria immigration service that many of the medical professionals in Nigeria are craving to leave no matter what.
According to a report released by the service in July, 58 medical doctors were stopped from migrating to the UK due to lack of Visa.
However, as the British High Commission reopens 30 days ago, many Nigerian doctors have gotten visas and have taken a last bow from the country.
But why are they leaving?
Gistongist gathered that these doctors are abandoning Nigeria for UK so as to partake in the “Health and Care” policy which has made obtaining a UK visa easier and quicker.
