The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has called on Lagosians to continue to pray for the peace, prosperity and growth of the State in the New Year as the world experiences the Second Wave of COVID 19.
Governor Sanwo-Olu who stated this at Lagos State Government 2021 Annual Thanksgiving Service, urged Lagos residents to also continue to strictly follow COVID 19 guidelines and protocols put in place by the government.
The Governor who started his address at the event with praise and worship said there were several ways people can give thanks to Almighty God while commending religious, traditional leaders as well as Lagosians that joined physically and virtually.
He restated his administration’s commitment to a renew efforts towards the welfare of Lagosians, growth and development of the state saying Lagos would embarked on the commissioning of the Imota rice mill, Agege-pencinema flyover bridge, housing projects among others.
The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, in a virtual prophetic utterances, prayed that as the people praise God, He would bless them.
The event features Praise and Worship, hymns Prayers for Lagos first family, the state and Lagosians, Sermon, Bible reading by the wife of the Governor, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu among others programmes at the twenty twenty one annual thanksgiving.
