The couple were climbing a mountain in Iran’s Khorasan Razavi province when they were targeted.
According to Iranian newspapers, Ruhollah Javidi Rad, Mohammad Sayadi Baghansgani, Mohammad Hosseini, and Mohammad Watandoost were hanged on Monday, March 16 after a comprehensive police investigation.
The rapists were apprehended and charged with kidnapping and rape of a woman, as well as threats of violence against a man.
Before sexually assaulting his wife in front of him, the defendants bound the man’s hands and feet together.
The case was referred to the Supreme Court by the Criminal Court of Khorasan Razavi, and the four men were sentenced to death by hanging in Mashhad Central Jail.
