The fear that the entire Spain might go on lockdown is gradually coming to pass as its capital, Madrid has gone on lockdown due to second surge of the deadly Covid-19.
The lockdown though partial, was struck down by a regional court in Madrid.
In a statement, the court backed an appeal by the local authorities, saying the order by the Spanish health ministry “impacted on the rights and fundamental freedoms” of some 4.5 million people affected by the restrictions.
Consequently, the residents of the capital of Spain are not allowed to move out of their houses unless with a cogent reason.
Gistongist gathered that the government revealed that it will be stricter to ensure the increase in positive cases of the Virus is curtailed.
