Following the pandemic and ease of lockdown, the Lagos State Government has extended the operating hours of the food and non-food markets.
This information was contained in a statement by Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Wale Ahmed.
The Commissioner said alternate days of operations will remains and food markets open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday while non-food markets open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday but will they are to open at 8am and close at 6pm henceforth.
Ahmed called on traders to follow the Covid-19 guidelines for the safety of citizens of the state and at large.
The decision however, was arrived by the government and authorities of the state as Governor Babajide Sanwoolu seeks to further enhance trade and commerce, also lessen the hardship bore as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
