Lagos Is Too Volatile, Bring In Amotekun – Group Tells Sanwo-Olu

A group of Nigerians in Diaspora, Yoruba one voice, has appealed to Lagos State Government to urgently inaugurate the south-west security network Amotekun in the state.

​The group in a statement issued by the Secretary General of Yoruba one voice, Dr. Shina Okanlomo expressed concern about the spate of insecurity in the state, wondering why it took Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu almost a year to inaugurate Amotekun as it had been done in other states.

​Dr. Okanlomo said Nigerians in the diaspora are not happy with the present security situation in the state, noting that Lagos is becoming violatile with the activities of cultists.

​While commending the efforts of Oyo State chapter of Amotekun, Dr. Okanlomo urged other state in the region to take a cue from the security of template, appealing to traditional rulers in the southwest to support Amoekun to reduce the state of insecurity.
