A group of Nigerians in Diaspora, Yoruba one voice, has appealed to Lagos State Government to urgently inaugurate the south-west security network Amotekun in the state.
The group in a statement issued by the Secretary General of Yoruba one voice, Dr. Shina Okanlomo expressed concern about the spate of insecurity in the state, wondering why it took Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu almost a year to inaugurate Amotekun as it had been done in other states.
Dr. Okanlomo said Nigerians in the diaspora are not happy with the present security situation in the state, noting that Lagos is becoming violatile with the activities of cultists.
While commending the efforts of Oyo State chapter of Amotekun, Dr. Okanlomo urged other state in the region to take a cue from the security of template, appealing to traditional rulers in the southwest to support Amoekun to reduce the state of insecurity.
