The Minister of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi has attributed the three-month tenure extension granted to the outgoing Inspector General of Police to the selection process of a new police boss.
Dingyadi who announced the appointment of Deputy Inspector of Police (DIG), Usman Baba as Acting Inspector General of Police said the Adamu’s appointment was terminated owing to their final selection of the right man for the position.
The Minister of police affairs was also quick to defend President Muhammed Buhari’s action of not allowing Adamu to end his three-month extension tenure before his exit.
