The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-olu has reiterated his administration’s committment to harness Badagry’s Tourism and growth potential through the provision of necessary lnfrastructure.
Governor Sanwo-olu gave the assurance at the inauguration of a well equipped 110- bed Maternal and Chid Center, MCC, a 252 units of two bedroom bungalows constructed by the state government in conjunction with a private development company and flag- off of the Badagry General Hospital road.
The governor who explained that the completion of the lnfrastructure was a clear demonstration of government’s committment to the general well being of the people of Badagry, said the 5-5 km long road will be reconstructed as a dual carriage way to connect ldale, Povita, Topo and Ajido Communities to Lagos – Badagry Expressway, through Joseph Dosu road.
While noting that the continuous development of lnfrastructure in Badagry is a confirmation of government’s spirit of Inclusiveness in Lagos, in – line with the six points agenda, THEMES,
Mr Sanwo-Olu added that 133 doctors and 65 nurses, have already been trained and ready for deployment to the new health facility.
Contributing, the Commissioner for Housing, Mr Moruf Akinderu-Fatai said the commissioning of the housing units in Badagry, shows the unrelenting determination of the state government towards reducing the housing deficit in the state and support for the building industry.
He explained that in the 18 months existence of the current administration, 5 housing schemes has been delivered through joint ventures initiative, while 3 other housing estates were in other stages of completion in Abraham Adesanya Estate in Lekki, ljora, llubirin and lbeshe.
Mr Akinderu-Fatai also added that a workers village of 501 units of two and three bedrooms will also be delivered through a joint venture initiative in lmota area of Lagos.
