EPL Match Week 31st: Updates From Coaches Ahead Of Matches

The English Premier League (EPL) action continues today in its matchweek 31 with the following fixtures to be played.

As gathered, the coaches had a press conference yesterday and had the following updates ahead of the matchweek 31 fixtures;

Marcelo Bielsa On Injuries: “Yes, we are happy to have no injuries at this moment in time given three-quarters of the season has gone past. This is very good.”

Leeds will be without loanee Jack Harrison, who is ineligible to face parent club Manchester City.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer On Injuries: “Hopefully they’ll [all] be okay. Of course, Marcus [Rashford], as we spoke about, his foot is a bit sore, so we didn’t want to aggravate that too much. Apart from that, Paul [Pogba] had a little niggle but he should be okay.”

Mikel Arteta on the returns of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe: “I think they were both really good, obviously they haven’t played much football in recent weeks and they struggled to finish the game, but I think overall they both had a good game.”

Mikel Arteta on Nicolas Pepe: “He has been really effective when he has come on as a sub, and we started as well against Liverpool and now he needs to be at that consistent level.”

Mikel Arteta on whether Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is “committed” to Arsenal: “Totally. He had an impact because he assisted Nico, and he should have also scored a tap-in with his left foot. That’s what players have to do when they come in.”

Dean Smith says that Jack Grealish’s latest injury flare-up “will probably put him back a couple of weeks”.

Smith on Grealish: “He was really good in training, but he couldn’t tolerate the loading. It’s a loading injury and we have to de-load him over the next couple of weeks and get him back from there. We know it’s not a long-term injury and he will be back.”

Steve Bruce confirms that Callum Wilson and Allan Saint-Maximin have trained all week and are “available” for the Burnley game.

Bruce on starting Wilson/Saint-Maximin: “That’s the big decision I have to make. I’m mindful of the fact that both of them have had muscle injuries which you’ve always got to box carefully with. But I’m also wary that we’ve only got six weeks of the season left.”

Thomas Tuchel: “We have full fitness, we arrive without big injuries.”

Jose Mourinho confirms that Ben Davies and Matt Doherty are his only unavailable players, with Spurs suffering no fresh injuries ahead of the Manchester United game.

Klopp: “Nobody is injured but if we have to change something, you will see tomorrow.”

Klopp: “To be 100% honest, we don’t know yet. We played on Tuesday, flew back on Wednesday, trained yesterday. Some players still felt the game. Injured… is nobody from the game. We have to see what we make of the information they give us today.”

Roy Hodgson: “The only person missing from the ones that have been available is Michy Batshuayi (ineligible to face parent club).”

Roy Hodgson: “James McCarthy has returned. Tyrick Mitchell is fully fit and available. Nathaniel Clyne is going to be joining in again next week.”

Brendan Rodgers on Caglar Soyuncu: “We’re hoping by Sunday when he’ll do his test, it will be negative and we can get him back. We decided to keep him there where he could train and so he wouldn’t have to isolate over here.”

Brendan Rodgers on James Maddison: “It was really good to get him back on the field. He’s a bit away from where his level would be. It’s important to have him back.”
