Nigerian Musician and record producer, David Adedeji Adeleke, better known as Davido has called for Electronic Voting system to be signed into law by the Nigerian Government amid the #ENDSARS protest ravaging the country.
The singer took to his Twitter handle on Saturday to make the call, adding that the electronic voting system will bring an end to election violence, rigging and vote buying.
Davido tweeted, “We need Electronic Voting signed into Law!! End all the Election Violence, Rigging & Vote Buying they use to take power!! Let there be Real Democracy!! Then just watch how our leaders will start to bend over backwards in our interest knowing we hold the key!! #ElectoralReform.”
In another tweet, the singer said, “It is governance that leads all this!! And enough is enough. We no wait till next elections. Do it now!! You’ve shown us you are capable!! We want #ElectoralReform!! We want #ElectronicVoting!! #ENDBADGOVERNANCE #EndSARS.”
