Following the buzzing of Burna Boy’s “Twice as Tall” album released some hours ago, the singer has come out to reveal when and how he was able to pull off the body of work.
Burna Boy popular known as the African Giant, implied that the global recognition the album is getting now is expected as he worked so hard for it, he said while speaking to New York post.
According to the two time winner of BET Award who travelled to London for the launching of “Twice As Tall”, he made the album during the lockdown.
“I’d been on tour for the past three years nonstop, so this pandemic was like a blessing and a curse, ’cause I got to spend more time with my family and myself than I have in years. So that’s where ‘Wonderful’ comes from. I recorded it at the beginning of the pandemic, when I first got home … not really knowing the full extent of how long [it would be].” – Burna Boy stated.
Speaking on the widely accepted single, Oasis, which he did with Sam Smith, Burna Boy revealed that Sam Smith reached out to him for the song and not otherwise as people think.
“He hit me up to do the song, and I said yes. It was a no-brainer,” the star added.
Hmmmm! Isn’t this and the 5M streaming of “Twice As Tall” barely an hour of its release a confirmation of the fact that Burna Boy is indeed the African music Giant?
