Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has warned the elite to stop harassing his administration with their criticisms.
The president gave the warning on Saturday, January 30 while in his hometown, Daura, Katsina State hosting the APC governors after the revalidation his party membership.
Buhari accused the Nigerian elite of constantly harassing his administration since he assumed office over five years ago.
He said “Nigerian elites are not interested in rating the competence, but they are interested in harassing us, despite all the efforts we are making.”
He called on the elite in the country to be fair in their assessment of his performance by taking cognizance of the state of the country’s finances from his inauguration in May 2015, Thisday reports.
