Chairman, Badagry Local Government has received the COVID-19 vaccine in Badagry, in commencement of administration of the vaccine to front line workers within the LGA.
Speaking to the newsmen shortly after receiving the vaccine at the flag off of the programme in Badagry Primary Health Centre in Ajara, Mr. Onilude urged people in Badagry to key into the exercise by trooping out em mass to receive theirs.
He however urged the people of the town to continue to abide with COVID-19 guidelines by continued use of nose mask, washing of hands and observing of social distancing,.
Commenting on the exercise, Dr Michael Ariyibi, the Medical Officer, BLG, Dr. Michael Ariyibi, described the exercise i a successful, noting that for the first citizen of the council to start the exercise is a signal that the whole L.G had keyed into it.
Dr.Ariyibi said that the flag-off exercise was for the health workers, adding that the council had three different centres where qualified people would receive the vaccine.
In his remarks one of those that partook in the exercise, Mr Senayan Akojenu, noted that the proceed of taken the vaccine was well planned, stating that from the registration point to logging into the leggers, to getting the vaccine is very simple.
he however appealed to others to come out and be vaccinated.
